Beginner Chinese

Course Description:
This course is designed for beginners. It aims to develop students’ Modern Chinese. This one-hour course is offered weekly each quarter.

Business Chinese Course

Course Description:
The Confucius Institute of the State of Washington has partnered with the Bravern to offer a Business Chinese Course-Basic Conversational Chinese at beginner level. This four-week course is designed for beginner learners who have zero Chinese language background. During the four weeks, participants will learn mandarin phonetics and basic oral expressions in a business context, develop basic listening and speaking skills, and gain familiarity with Chinese culture.

Travel Chinese

Course Description:
This course is designed for non-Chinese speakers who need help communicating while traveling in China. It aims to help the students to master the basic vocabularies for travelling in China, develop Mandarin (Putonghua) listening and speaking skills in order to understand common topics related to travelling in China, and gain familiarity with Chinese culture.

Conversational Chinese (Level 1 – Level 2)

Course Description:
This course is designed for beginners. It aims to develop the students’ Modern spoken Chinese. Furthermore, it will introduce aspects of contemporary Chinese society such as politics, economy, culture, religion, etc.
