Why Learn Chinese Competition 2017
The Washington Association for American and Chinese Education brings you the 2017 Why Learn Chinese Competition.
OBJECTIVE: To generate interest in learning Chinese among American students.
PROMPT: China in My Eyes
FORMAT: An Essay (400-600 words)
WHO: Open to any middle school and high school student in Washington State
RULES: LIMIT OF ONE ENTRY PER CONTESTANT. The entry must be an original work in either English or Chinese.
JUDGED BY Certified teachers and professionals looking for
superior ideas, messages and content.
Grand Prize: $200
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $80
3rd Place: $50

Certificate of Excellence
The winners of the competition will be notified by the end of April, 2017.
The award ceremony will be held at Chief Sealth International High School in late May.
