The Confucius Institute of the State of Washington has partnered with the Seattle Public Library to offer a Conversational Chinese course for beginners. Designed for non-Chinese speakers who are interested in Chinese language and culture, this course is to help them communicate while traveling in China. By the end of the course, the participants will be able to master the basic vocabularies of daily communication in Chinese, develop Mandarin (Putonghua) listening and speaking skills in order to understand common topics related to the daily life in China, and gain familiarity with Chinese culture.
From Oct. 5 to Nov.23, 2016, class will meet at 2:30 p.m.—4:00 p.m., every Wednesday.
