The Confucius Institute Board of Directors guides the overall operations of the Confucius Institute of the State of Washington and meets approximately quarterly. The Board is chaired by Dr. Gary Hamilton, Professor in the Department of Sociology and the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, who, with Karen Kodama, International Education Administrator for Seattle Public Schools, serves as Co-Director of the Confucius Institute. They are joined by the Directors from China, Deng Bo and Tang Changping (Donna).
